SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– The Drury Panthers opened the 2018 season with a 2-2 tie against Christian Brothers on Friday at the Lake Country Soccer Complex in Springfield.
The game's first three goals were all scored within 97 seconds of each other in the first half. Drury took the lead as freshman
Brinn Cooper put the Panthers in front with a goal from 10 yards out as fellow freshman
Chloe Cash picked up the assist. Christan Brothers answered 42 seconds later as Sinead Tierney tied the game and then put the Lady Bucs in front moments later scoring her second goal of the contest on rebound.

Christian Brothers outshot Drury 15-5 in the second half and the two overtime periods but Panthers goalkeeper
Sarah Franks, who was also making her collegiate debut, made six saves to preserve the tie.
Both teams started the year with a 0-0-1 record.
Drury is home again on Sunday when they host Missouri Southern State at 7 p.m. in Harrison Stadium in the Curry Sports Complex.
