SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Madyson Mossman had a goal and an assist for McKendree as the Bearcats held off Drury for a 2-0 win on Friday at the Lake Country Soccer Complex in Springfield.
 
McKendree improved to 6-1-1 and 3-1-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Panthers fell to 0-8-1 and 0-5 in the league.
 
Mossman got the Bearcats on the board with a goal in the 17th minute with an assist from Amanda Williams. The goal was Mossman's second of the season. Less than two minutes into the second half, McKendree struck up again. Mossman set up Jane Skaggs with an assist as Skaggs scored her second goal of the year.
 
Drury made a push late with five of their seven shots coming in the final 15 minutes. The Bearcats owned a 22-7 lead in shots and Panthers goalkeeper Sarah Franks had six saves.
 
Drury is home again on Sunday as they host William Jewell at noon at Harrison Stadium / Curry Sports Complex.
