KIRKSVILLE, Mo.– The Drury Panthers battled Truman State to a scoreless tie at Bulldog Soccer Park on Friday afternoon in Kirksville, Missouri.
The draw was the first tie of the season for both teams as it moved Drury's record to 6-4-1 and 4-3-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Bulldogs went to 4-5-1 and 3-4-1 in the league.
The Panthers gave themselves chances down the stretch and in overtime. Drury got away seven of their nine and all four shots-on-goal after halftime. The Panthers also limited Truman State to just five shots after the intermission.
Jamie O'Brien led Drury with three shots while
Yannick Lamers recorded six saves and his second consecutive shutout. Jeff Masters had six shots for Truman State, and Bulldogs goalkeeper Julian Echeverri made three saves.
Drury travels to Quincy for their next game and will take on the Hawks on Sunday at 2:30 pm in Quincy, Illinois.
