QUINCY, Ill.– The Drury men's soccer team posted a 2-0 shutout road victory over Quincy in a Great Lakes Valley Conference contest at Legends Stadium on Sunday.
The Panthers scored the first goal of the game in the 28
th minute when
Trent Williams put one through the back of the net from a
Nico Navarro assist. Drury pushed the lead to 2-0 when an own goal happened in the 68
th minute.
Quincy bested the Panthers in shots 13-7 and shots on goal 7-4 with
Yannick Lamers recording his third straight shutout victory in goal.
Mitchell Vaughn had a team-high four shots for the Panthers.
Drury improved to 7-4-1 overall and 5-3-1 in the GLVC and Quincy dropped to 6-5 overall and 4-4 in the GLVC.
Drury will return home on Friday when they will host Bellarmine at Harrison Stadium/The Curry Sports Complex with kickoff set for 1:30 p.m.
