Panthers face 25^th ranked McKendree and Southern Indiana at home
The Drury Panthers are home for two games this weekend as they host 25th ranked McKendree Friday at 5 pm and Southern Indiana on Sunday at noon at Harrison Stadium/Curry Sports Complex.
 
The Panthers were edged by 22nd ranked Rockhurst 1-0 at home on Sunday in their last game and enter the weekend 1-6-1 overall with a 1-4 record in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.  
 
McKendree cracked the top 25 this week and will be the second straight ranked opponent the Panthers will face. The Bearcats are 6-1-1 and 4-0-1 in the GLVC with their only loss coming against Ohio Dominican in a non-conference match on Sept. 8. McKendree's tie in the GLVC came against Indianapolis in a game that ended in a 1-1 draw on Sept. 22. The Bearcats enter Friday's game tied for second place in the conference standings.
 
Southern Indiana will start the weekend 5-2 and 3-2 in the league. The Screaming Eagles play at Southwest Baptist on Friday before coming to Springfield on Sunday. Southern Indiana blew out Missouri-St. Louis 6-0 on Sunday in their last game and have not allowed a goal in three of their previous four contests.
 
Kayla Day leads Drury with three goals, and the senior from O'Fallon, Missouri, is tied for fifth in the GLVC in goals scored.
 
The Panthers will be on the road for the first time in five games next week. Drury travels to Truman State on Friday for a 2:30 pm match, followed by a trip to Quincy on Sunday for a noon kickoff.
