SPRINGFIELD, Mo.–
Jamie O'Brien and
Adem Hamdaoua scored two goals each as the Drury Panthers picked up a 4-0 win over Southern Indiana at Harrison Stadium on Sunday.
The Panthers improved to 6-4 and 4-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference while the Screaming Eagles fell to 3-4-2 and 3-3-1 in the league.
Drury struck twice late in the first half as
Jamie O'Brien scored on a header in the 33rd minute. Two minutes later,
Adem Hamdaoua put in a goal to give the Panthers a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Hamdaoua scored again three minutes into the second half when he blasted in a shot from 20 yards out, and O'Brien tacked on his second goal of the game in the 56th minute to give Drury a 4-0 lead.
O'Brien, a sophomore from Darlington, England, extended his goal-scoring streak to five games, and his nine goals for the season leads the GLVC. Hamdaoua, a freshman from Marrekesh, Morocco, notched his eighth point in his last four games with two goals and an assist on Sunday.
Drury travels to Truman State for their next game and will take on the Bulldogs on Friday at noon in Kirksville, Missouri.
