AUSTIN, Tex.- Drury and St. Edward's split a doubleheader on Saturday as the two teams traded one-hit performances from their starting pitchers at Hamilton Field in Austin, Texas. The Hilltoppers took the first game 1-0 while the Panthers blanked St. Edward's 7-0 in game two.

Drury ended the day with a 2-3 record while the Hilltoppers ended up 6-2.

Panthers starter
Tom Tewes (1-1) held St. Edward's to one run and three hits but took the loss in the 1-0, 7-inning contest. The sophomore from Lincoln, Nebraska struck out two batters and walked four in six innings. The Hilltoppers scored their lone run in the third inning when Dylan Mackin singled to left field and drove in Ryan McPhail. Ryan Hill (2-0) got the win for St. Edward's allowing only one hit through seven innings while walking one batter and striking out 10.

Drury's
Kaden Helsel (1-0) got the win in his first collegiate start in the Panthers 7-0 win in game two. The freshman from Mokane, Missouri was four outs away from a no-hitter as he surrendered his only hit with one out in the eighth. Nick Constantino came in for the final two outs of the eighth, and
Logan Pittman pitched the ninth inning to complete the shutout for the Panthers.
Ryan Kayhill went 2 for 4 at the plate with a double and an RBI while
Aaron Mann drove in a pair of runs going 1 for 5 with a double.

Scott Nasby won his 200
th career game with the game two victory. Nasby, in his seventh season as the Panthers head coach, is 200-134-1 leading the program.
