ST. LOUIS, Mo.– Drury fell to Maryville 5-0 on Friday in St. Louis as the Saints improved to 3-0 and won their Great Lakes Valley Conference opener.
Alex Johnson scored twice for Maryville while Kennedy Reeser had one goal and one assist for the Saints. Johnson got Maryville on the board in the 26th minute then the Saints scored again two minutes later on a goal from Amanda Kaltwasser. Reeser then scored with 2:34 left in the first half to give Maryville a 3-0 lead.
Kayla Day had a pair of shots for Drury including one on goal.
The Panthers dropped to 0-4-1 and 0-2 in the conference.
Drury returns home on Sunday to face Missouri S&T for a game starting at noon at Harrison Stadium/Curry Sports Complex in Springfield.
