SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Drury completed their final women's golf tournament of the fall semester with a fourth-place finish in the Payne Stewart Memorial hosted by Missouri State at the par-71, 6,066-yard Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield on Tuesday.
In cold, rainy conditions for the third and final round on Tuesday, the Panthers ended with a team score of 997, finishing the 54-hole event behind the three other teams in the field. Missouri State won the tournament with a score of 902, Omaha was second shooting 954, and the Missouri State B Team posted a score of 966.
Taryn Overstreet was Drury's finisher as she tied for 10
th among 24 players shooting a 29-over-par 242. The freshman from Jackson, Missouri, entered Tuesday's final round in fourth but dropped on the leaderboard following her third-round 87.
Izzy Marten came in 13
th, shooting a +33, 246.
Annaliesia Salazar had the best final-round score for the Panthers on Tuesday with her nine-over-par 80. She ended up tied for 14
th in the tournament at +35.
Ellie Holloway came in 21
st shooting 264 (+51), and
Abby Howard was 22
nd with a score of 265 (+52).
Missouri State's Abby Cavaiani won individual medalist honors finishing with a four-over-par 217. She took the event by four shots over teammate Allison Bray.
The Panthers expect to resume their schedule in the spring semester of 2021.
