ROMEOVILLE, Ill.– Lewis got a second-half goal and hung on for a 1-0 win over 24
th ranked Drury on Friday in Romeoville, Illinois.
The Panthers fell to 10-3-1 and 8-2-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while the Flyers raised their record to 8-3-2 and 6-3-2.
Miranda Nirchi got the game's only goal as she scored in the 68
th minute on an assist from Cali Havelka-Vanderplow. The goal was Nirchi's first of the year and Havelka-Vanderplow's sixth assist of the season.
Both teams had nine shots, and both put four on goal.
Halley Kemmer and
Elsa Gonzalez led the Panthers with two shots each.
Drury returns to action on Sunday when they play at Indianapolis. Game time is at 11 am (Central) at UIndy.
