SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– The Drury wrestling team held their final tune-up of the preseason with an Intra-squad match at Weiser Gym on Friday night and the Gray squad edged the Scarlet team by a point, 23-22.
 
Peter Kuster, Justin Williams, and Trevor Christian all earned wins by fall for the Gray squad in the 141, 149, and 157 classes. Luke Shaver and Conner Zimmermann on the Scarlet team closed the gap in the final two matches, with Zimmermann earning a Major Decision victory.
 
"It was a great night to have families and fans back in Weiser gym," said Drury head coach James Reynolds. "We had some great match-ups and are eager to get back to a season full of competition. I am extremely proud of our coaches and athletes tonight."
 
The Panthers open the regular season on Nov. 7 at the Dan Harris Open hosted by Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas.
