MANHEIM, Penn. – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced the NCAA Division II Men's Scholar All-America awards on Thursday, April 2, with four Drury wrestlers earning the honor.
A total of 440 student-athletes, representing 64 of the 71 Division II institutions, were honored for their success in the classroom while competing throughout the season. Leading the nation with 19 honorees was Nebraska-Kearney, followed by McKendree and Colorado Mesa with 15 selections each.
To be eligible for the award, an athlete must be an All-American at the 2026 NCAA DII National Championships and have a 3.00 GPA, be a national qualifier to the 2026 NCAA DII National Championships and have a 3.25 GPA, or have competed in four or more events and have a 3.50 GPA.
Bryson Humphries, national qualifier for the Panthers this season, earned Scholar All-America honors after an impressive sophomore campaign. Humphries placed third at the NCAA Division II Super Regional IV Championships and finished the season with a 20-11 record at 125 pounds.
Mason Knight earned NWCA Scholar All-America honors after a strong start to his career as a Panther. The freshman from Stafford, Virginia, tallied a 15-10 record this season at 149 pounds, including four wins in conference duals.
Redshirt freshman Dylan Roth earned Scholar All-America for the first time in his career. The 133-pound starter posted a 5-20 record this season.
Nate Wishne earned NWCA Scholar All-America for the second time in his career. The redshirt junior led the team with seven major decisions, contributing to his 17-11 record. At 141 pounds, Wishne secured a 4-2 decision over Quincy at the GLVC Championship and recorded four additional conference dual wins this season.
As a team, Drury ranked 18th nationally in team GPA with a 3.303 average, second among Great Lakes Valley Conference programs, behind Indianapolis.
