Drury hosts Southern Indiana for the GLVC Championship
The Drury Panthers will host Southern Indiana on Sunday at noon in the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship game.
 
Drury (15-4-1) is the number two seed in the tournament and advanced past the semifinal round on Friday with a 1-0 win in overtime over sixth-seeded Missouri S&T. Southern Indiana, seeded fifth, is 10-5-3, and won on Friday in double-overtime, 1-0, against Missouri-St. Louis to reach the championship game.
 
The winner of Sunday's game will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA-II Tournament. The national tournament field will be announced Monday night.
 
The Panthers reached the GLVC tournament for the first time since 2015, when they finished second in the league standings with a 10-3-1 conference record. Drury is in the championship round for the first time since 2008, and they last won the league title in 2007.
 
Southern Indiana went 7-4-3 in conference play to finish fifth. They advanced to the semifinals with a 1-0 win at fourth-seeded Indianapolis on Nov. 7.
 
The Screaming Eagles won the regular season meeting against Drury on Oct. 15 at Harrison Stadium. Southern Indiana got goals from Katyln Andres and Madison Crawford in that game, while Elsa Gonzalez scored for the Panthers. The game marked Drury's first GLVC loss as they had entered that game 8-0 in the league.
