INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.— The Drury Panthers split two matches at Indianapolis on Saturday in a Great Lakes Valley Conference triangular as they lost to 25
th ranked UIndy 3-0 but ended the day with a 3-0 win against Maryville.
Drury, who is ranked ninth in the latest NCAA-II poll, moved their record to 4-2.
Indianapolis swept the Panthers on Saturday morning, taking a hard-fought opening set 25-23, then taking the next by scores of 25-18 and 25-19. Drury posted just a .161 hitting percentage to the Greyhounds' .270.
Chloe Rear led the Panthers with 12 kills, 14 assists, and 13 digs.
Taylor Forth added 10 kills and five blocks.
Drury bounced back to breeze past Maryville 25-16, 25-15, and 25-15, winning the match in just 68 minutes. Drury's hitting percentage was .398 against the Saints, and they got another triple-double from
Chloe Rear as the sophomore more Strafford produced 14 kills, 14 assists, and 11 digs.
Gabby Birmingham added 13 assists for the Panthers, while
Kayla Allison contributed 11 digs.
Drury returns to action on Feb. 28 when they travel to Kirksville, Missouri, to take on second-ranked Lewis and Truman State.
