ST. LOUIS, Mo.– Maryville scored a late goal to forge a 1-1 tie against Drury in a contest that ended in a draw on Sunday afternoon at the Maryville Soccer Field in St. Louis, Missouri.
It was Drury's first tie of the season and sent their record to 3-1-1 while the Saints went to 3-1-2.
The Panthers grabbed the lead early in the second half as
Elsa Gonzalez scored in the 56
th minute for her first goal of the season.
Drury held that lead until the closing minutes, but with 1:08 remaining in regulation, Amanda Kaltwasser found the net, tying the contest at 1-1.
Panthers goalkeeper
Sarah Franks saw 23 shots and made 11 saves, with three of those saves coming in overtime. Keely Combs had four shots, including three on goal.
Drury returns home for a game on Friday against Lindenwood. Kickoff is at 5 pm at Harrison Stadium.
