SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— For the second straight year, Drury University Athletics set a department record with 274 student-athletes honored by the Great Lakes Valley Conference as Academic All-GLVC recipients.
 
Drury's total of 274 is 10 more than in 2019-20 and is 54 more than two years ago. This year's total significantly surpasses their total from 2009-10, which was 121.
 
The Academic All-GLVC honor is bestowed upon student-athletes who meet a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 through two semesters of an academic year at the institution.
 
The Panthers' baseball team had the most All-Academic honorees with 32, while Drury's softball team had the highest percentage of players honored with 21 out of 22 receiving the award.
 
Drury also had 37 student-athletes earn their fourth straight Academic All-GLVC honor.
 
Tuesday's announcement by the GLVC is the latest in their announcement of league academic awards. On Monday, the conference announced their Team Academic Award winners, and 15 of Drury's 19 teams that compete in the league were honored with that award.
