SPRINGFIELD, Mo.—  The Drury women's soccer team announced their 2021 schedule, and the Panthers will open the regular season on Sept. 3 at Newman. Their home slate kicks off two days later when they host 19^th ranked Delta State on Sept. 5 at Harrison Stadium.
 
2021 will mark a return to a full schedule that includes two scrimmages, three non-conference games, and 14 contests in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Last year, fall sports shifted to the spring and did not include national tournament play due to concerns with the coronavirus pandemic. This season, postseason play returns with the top eight teams in the GLVC advancing to the league tournament that will be played on campus sites and the NCAA-II tournament returns ending with the semifinals and finals played at Colorado Springs on Dec. 9 and 11.
 
Drury's league opener is Sept. 12 at Truman State, and the Panthers host local rival Southwest Baptist on Sept. 26. DU will be at home against defending league champion McKendree, ranked fourth nationally in the NCAA-II preseason poll, on Oct. 17.  
 
Panthers head coach Justin Olson will enter his second year as the program's head coach in 2021. His squad improved from a 14^th place finish in 2019 to a 5-6-3 record last year and were in the postseason hunt until the final day of the regular season. Drury returns 29 letter winners from last year's team, including sophomore Elsa Gonzalez, who was an all-conference selection as a freshman a year ago.
