SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– The Drury Panthers extended their winning streak to six games with a 3-0 victory over Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon at the O'Reilly Family Event Center. Drury raised their record to 13-14 and 4-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while the Greyhounds slipped to 12-11 and 5-4 in the league.
The Panthers took the opening set 25-20, then fought for a 29-27 win in the second. Drury closed out the match with a 25-19 win in the third set.
Salma Lewis led the Panthers with 17 kills, 10 digs, and three block assists, while Stormi Lewis added 15 kills and three block assists.
Chloe Rear was one dig away from a triple-double as the senior from Strafford racked up 40 assists to go with 13 kills and nine digs.
Juliana Squire led Drury in digs with 16.
No Indianapolis player was in double-figures in kills as Grace Hegwood led the Greyhounds with nine. Alex Equihua had 33 assists for UIndy.
The Panthers return to action on Friday when they travel to 23
rd ranked Lewis for a 6 pm game in Romeoville, Illinois.
