SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury ended the regular season with a 1-0 win over Lewis on Sunday afternoon at Harrison Stadium in Springfield.
The Panthers will head to the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament with a 5-1-6 record in the league and a 7-2-7 mark overall. The Flyers, who were in second place in the conference standings going into Sunday's match, fell to 9-4-2 and 7-3-2 in the GLVC.
On a day that wind played a factor, with 25-30 mile-per-hour gusts coming from the south, the Panthers got on the board in the first half going into the wind. On a corner kick, senior forward
Jamie O'Brien notched his fifth goal of the year, scoring from
Nathan Logue's assist in the game's 26
th minute. The goal was the 34
th of O'Brien's career, putting him third on Drury's all-time scoring list.

Drew Findley entered and made four saves to keep Lewis off of the board. The Flyers outshot the Panthers 16-9 and Lewis' Cristian Perez was credited with five shots, including one on-goal.
The Panthers finished the regular season in a three-way tie for fourth with Illinois Springfield and Rockhurst in the GLVC standings. The GLVC Tournament starts with the quarterfinals on Sun., Oct. 30. The league will announce the postseason bracket and schedule later today.
