DU women's soccer announces nine signees for 2023

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- Drury women's soccer head coach Justin Olson has announced the signing of nine players for the 2023 season. Danielle Buker, Reagan Hegarty, Katy Fitzler, Lydia de Wild, Shaeley Combs, Anna Harris, Molly Kroenlein, Mia Tatten, and Bella Hernandez have all signed to play for the Panthers next year.
 
"We are thrilled as to how this recruiting class came together," said Olson, who will start his fourth season as head coach next season. "Our goal was to bring in a balanced class positionally, and I felt we accomplished that.
 
"We want to continue to bolster our strong defensive group while bringing in some dynamic players up front that will come in and compete right away. This group will bring a strong energy to our team as we look to get back to the national tournament next season. We are very excited to get them on campus next fall to begin our 2023 campaign."
 
Danielle Buker (Forward, Helias HS, Jefferson City, Missouri)
Danielle Buker is a native of Jefferson City, Missouri, and attends Helias Catholic High School. In her time for the Knights, Buker has been selected First Team All-Conference and First Team-All District in soccer, cross country, and track. She also was voted Academic All-State, Academic All-Conference, and Academic All-District in all three of her sports. Buker has won several awards for character and excellent academics during her career. She has been a member of the National Honor Society during her time at Helias.
 
Reagan Hegarty (Forward, Timberland HS, St. Louis, Missouri)
Reagan Hegarty hails from Lake St. Louis, Missouri, and is a student at Timberland High School. During her time at Timberland, she has been selected to the All-Conference and All-Academic teams four times in her career. Hegarty also is a member of the National Honor Society at her school. She has played for the ISL Barcelona Academy and the UK Academy in her career. During her time playing in Europe, her team made it to the quarterfinals in the Donosti Cup International Tournament in San Sebastián, Spain.
 
Katy Fitzler (Goalkeeper, St. Dominic HS, O'Fallon, Missouri)
Katy Fitzler is from O'Fallon, Missouri, and attends St. Dominic High School. Fitzler was named the Class 4 All-State Goalkeeper of the Year in 2021 and 2022. She also was named the 2022 All-Midwest Region Goalkeeper. During her career at St. Dominic, her team won two state championships in 2021 and 2022. In 2021, her team was the USYS Regional Champions.
 
Lydia de Wild (Defender, Nixa HS, Nixa, Missouri)
Lydia de Wild is a native of Nixa, Missouri, and is a student at Nixa High School. In her career at Nixa, Lydia has been selected All COC First Team, All-Region, All-District, and an All-State Honorable Mention in 2022. She also was named the Defensive MVP for the conference. Lydia has been a member of the Rush Select National team and is a member of the National Honor Society.
 
Shaeley Combs (Midfielder, Ozark HS, Ozark, Missouri)
Shaeley Combs will join the Panthers from Ozark High School. Combs is a native of Ozark and has been a 4-year starter for the Tigers. Combs has also been a member of the tennis team during her high school career. She was elected senior class President and has been a straight-A student during her academic career. Combs plays club soccer for the Southwest Missouri Rush Pinnacle team.
 
Anna Harris (Defender, Gretna HS, Gretna, Nebraska)
Anna Harris hails from Gretna, Nebraska, and attends Gretna High School. In her time at Gretna, Anna was selected as the National Honors Society President, made the honor roll 2019-2023, and was an All-State Honorable Mention in 2022. Harris and the Hawks were crowned state champions in 2021 and 2022 after going undefeated. Harris set the record for the number of goals scored in one half in a state final during the championship run.
 
Molly Kroenlein (Midfielder, Lindbergh HS, St. Louis, Missouri)
Molly Kroenlein will come to Drury from St. Louis, Missouri. Kroenlein is a student at Lindbergh High School where she has been a three-year varsity starter in both soccer and basketball. She has been awarded several awards from her school, including the Platinum Renaissance Award, Scholar Athlete, and Teacher's Choice Award. In 2021, Kroenlein was selected to the All-Tournament Team in soccer.
 
Mia Tatten (Fullback, Westside HS, Omaha, Nebraska)
Mia Tatten is from Omaha, Nebraska, where she attends Westside High School. During her career at Westside, she has been selected Academic-All State, twice won the Scholar & Spirit Award, and is a member of the National Honors Society. She was also an ENCL Midwest U15 Conference Player selection. In 2022, her team reached the state quarterfinals. Tatten plays club soccer for the Gretna Elite Academy ENCL.
 
Bella Hernandez (Forward, Brennan HS, San Antonio, Texas)
Bella Hernandez is a native of San Antonio, Texas, and attends Brennan High School. In her time for the Bears, Hernandez was a 3x All-District 1st Team and All-Academic Team selection. Bella was an All-Region Honorable Mention and was named the Offensive Player of the Year. Brennan reached the State Regional Quarterfinals twice under Hernandez's tenor. Bella also plays for the Classics Elite and was named to the San Antonio Starting XI.
 
The nine signees will join a Drury team that went 6-3-8 in 2022.
