SPRINGFIELD, Mo.—Drury distance runner
Katie McCune became Drury's first All-American in women's indoor track & field as the junior from Springfield finished seventh in the 800-meter run on Saturday at the NCAA-II Championships in Pittsburg, Kansas.
McCune posted a time of 2:10.09 to come in seventh. Allison Andrews-Paul from Simon Fraser won the event with a time 2:04.04.
McCune advanced to the finals finishing third in her heat and seventh overall among 20 qualifiers in Friday's preliminary heat.

Claire McCune were the first two Drury athletes to participate in the NCAA-II national indoor track & field championships in nearly a decade. Claire competed for Drury in the mile run on Friday.
