Nathan Logue with a goal and assist in Drury's 4-1 win over Southern Nazarene

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury scored three first-half goals on their way to a 4-1 win over Southern Nazarene on Wednesday afternoon at Harrison Stadium / Curry Sports Complex in Springfield.

The Panthers improved to 2-1 and dropped the Crimson Storm to 1-1-1. It marked the second time Drury has scored four goals in a game this season. The Panthers defeated Upper Iowa 4-1 in their season opener last week.

Drury struck 13 minutes into the contest as Jacob Schmidt scored his goal of the year set up from a corner kick by Nathan Logue. Southern Nazarene tied the game in the 31st minute on a goal by Unaiz Shajani and an assist from Daniel Trojman.

The Panthers took the lead back 90 seconds later, though, as JJ Adikwu put in his second goal of the season to give the Panthers a 2-1 advantage. Kaelan Debbage then notched his third score of the year just before halftime to put Drury ahead 3-1.

The Panthers tacked on a goal in the 83rd minute as Nathan Logue dribbled past defenders and beat the Southern Nazarene keep for his first goal of the year and his third point of the afternoon. The sophomore from Ireland finished the game with a goal and an assist and has five points in his first three games of the season.

Drury is back at home on Saturday night when they host Rogers State for a 7 pm game at Harrison Stadium.
