SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Rockhurst got a late goal and came from behind to defeat Drury 2-1 at the Lake Country Complex on Friday.
The Panthers fell to 3-6-5 and 3-4-3 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference while the Hawks went to 5-7-2 and 3-6-2 in the league.
After a scoreless first half, Drury took a 1-0 lead on a goal from
John Clout, his third of the year, in the 61
st minute.
Mattheo Ledoux picked up the assist. Rockhurst struck back one minute later as Sam McIntosh evened the game with his second goal of the season and Ben MacInnes and Luca Zallo earned the assists.
The Hawks took the lead 2:21 remaining as Winder Pessoa chipped a ball over the Panthers goalkeeper to put Rockhurst in front. The goal was Pessoa's first of the year.
Drury is back at Harrison Stadium / Curry Sports Complex when they host William Jewell for Senior Day on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
