Panthers win at UMSL; Knetzke sets career shutout record

ST. LOUIS, Mo.– Drury goalkeeper Kaitlin Knetzke and the Panthers defense kept Missouri-St. Louis off the board and Kourtney Tucker scored her team-leading fifth goal of the season in a 1-0 win over the Tritons on Friday in St. Louis.

The Panthers remain in a first place tie with Maryville in the Great Lakes Valley Conference standings as Drury improved to 12-2-2 and 9-1-2 in the GLVC standings. UMSL fell to 7-5-3 and 6-4-1 in the league.

The game's only goal came in the 12th minute as Kourtney Tucker fired a shot off a free kick into the low-right corner of the net. The goal was Tucker's fifth of the year.

Drury's defense limited the Tritons to four shots in the game and Knetzke made two saves while recording her 12th shutout of the year. The senior from Ozark and Springfield Catholic also set a career record at Drury with her 41st career clean sheet, surpassing the mark of 40 previously held by Jessie Sanderson (2007-10).

The Panthers end the regular season on Sunday at McKendree. Kickoff is at noon in Lebanon, Illinois.
