SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury lost a hard-fought, five-set match against Arkansas Fort Smith at the O'Reilly Family Event Center on Tuesday.

After falling in the first set, 25-19, the Panthers bounced back with a strong performance in set two, winning 25-21. Drury stayed hot and was able to capture the third set after a strong back and forth, winning 25-22. The Lions showed no quit and won set four 25-22 to force a fifth set. The Panthers would ultimately fall just short in the final set, losing 15-9.

Kayli Duncan led the team with 17 kills and led both teams in hitting percentage.
Juliana Squire added 15 kills and 25 digs.
Salma Lewis and
Lexi Basler each had two aces in the contest.

Caelyn Gunn led both teams with 24 kills and Chloe Price had 50 assists for Arkansas Fort Smith.

Drury now travels north this weekend for a two game road trip against Upper Iowa and Truman State. The Panthers will play Upper Iowa at 6 pm on Friday and Truman State at 7 pm on Saturday.
