QUINCY, Ill.– Drury scored three goals in the second half in a 4-0 Panthers win at Quincy on Friday night in Quincy, Illinois.
The victory extended Drury's unbeaten streak to 10 games and their record to 9-1-1 with a 6-0-1 mark in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Quincy fell to 2-7-1 and 2-4 in the league.
The Panthers had a 1-0 lead at halftime on the strength of a goal from
Tara Simon, her third of the year, that came in the game's 30
th minute.
Peterson then gave DU a two-goal in the 55
th minute as she scored on an assist from
Audrey Camargo. The Panthers scored again three minutes later on a goal from
Elena Perez, her first of the year.
Drury tacked on a fourth goal in the 76
th minute as
Mel Schneider put in her second goal of the year. The Panthers have had 12 different players score at least one goal so far this season.
Drury had a 24-6 advantage in shots, and keeper
Kaitlin Knetzke registered her eighth shutout of the season for the Panthers while making one save.
Drury continues their road trip on Sunday when they take on Illinois Springfield for a match at noon in Springfield, Ill.
