SPRINGFIELD, Mo.–  Former Drury swimmer Steve Boyce and former DU volleyball standout Paula Wohnhas Wiedemann were announced as part of the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame's next induction class on Feb. 4, 2024. In addition, former Lady Panthers assistant coach Shelly Jones was named as a Wynn Award recipient for having made a significant contribution to the advancement of women's sports.

Steve Boyce earned NAIA All-American honors in 1990, 1991 and 1992. He was part of seven national championship relay teams and helped the Panthers to the NAIA National Championships in each of his four years at Drury. After graduating from Drury, Boyce has gone on a 24-year high school coaching career that has seen his teams win nine state championships, including three with the Glendale High School girls team in 2013, 2014, and 2018, three with the Glendale boys squad (2019, 2020, and 2021), and three with the Parkway South boys (1999, 2000, and 2001). He is currently the head coach for Glendale, Ozark, and Republic.

Paula Wohnhas Wiedemann was Drury's first volleyball All-American, earning those honors from the NAIA in 1987 and 1988. She was a three-time All-District 16 selection and led the team to a 47-9 record in '87, then a 43-11 mark in her senior season in '88. Wohnhas-Wiedemann still owns Drury's single-season kills record with 574 in 1988, and she still ranks second all-time at Drury in kills with 1,576 during her four-year career. She went on to play professional volleyball for the Kansas City Lightning of the National Volleyball Association, then embarked on a college and club coaching career. She recently retired after a 26-year run on the coaching staff of Missouri State-West Plains, where her teams went 835-286. For 14 seasons, she served as the program's head coach and posted a record of 324-167. Her teams won 19 regional championships and made 18 National Junior College Athletic Association Tournament appearances, with eight trips to the national semifinals.

Former women's basketball assistant coach Shelly Jones will receive a Wynn Award from the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame at the induction event. Jones was a Lady Panthers assistant from 2007-2013 and helped the program to five national tournament appearances and two conference championships.
