SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Drury men's soccer assistant coach
Juan Espinal was inducted into the Hall of Fame at Muscatine High School in Iowa last weekend.
Espinal, who completed his second season on Druy's coaching staff last fall, was honored for his prolific career on the field at Muscatine. Espinal was a four-year varsity letterman, a three-time all-conference selection, and led the state of Iowa in goals in his senior season in 2012. He was also an all-state selection for Muscatine, then played collegiately at Iowa Central Community College and Texas A&M International. Espinal went on to play professionally for the Quad City Eagles of the National Premier Soccer League, and the Springfield Demize of United Soccer League 2.
Espinal has helped guide the Panthers to a 15-10-11 and a 12-4-8 record in the conference during his two seasons on the Drury coaching staff working with head coach
Ben Taylor.
