DURANT, Okla. – Drury lost a hard-fought, five-set match at Southeastern Oklahoma State as they started a two-game road trip on Friday in Durant, Oklahoma.
After falling in the first set, 25-14, the Panthers took the second 28-26. The Savage Storm edged Drury in the third, 25-23, then the Panthers took a back-and-forth fourth set 30-28. Southeastern Oklahoma won four of five points in the fifth set to take a 10-7 lead, then closed out the match 15-12.
Juliana Squire led the Panthers with 17 kills, while
Stormi Tadlock added 14 kills.
Lexi Basler contributed 25 digs.
D'Nari Mills posted 35 kills in the match on a .435 hitting percentage and picked up 16 digs. Ruthie Forson was credited with 55 assists.
Drury continues the road trip on Saturday when they take on Southern Nazarene for a 2 p.m. match in Bethany, Oklahoma.
