BETHANY, Okla.– For the second straight game, the Drury Panthers battled into five sets on the road but took a loss as Southern Nazarene squeaked out a 3-2 victory on Saturday in Bethany, Oklahoma.
After a five-set loss last night at Southeastern Oklahoma State, Drury opened Saturday's match with a 25-19 win in the opening set. The Crimson Storm bounced back to take the second set 25-16, but the Panthers took a 2-1 lead with a 25-23 win in the third. Drury jumped out a lead in the fourth set and had a 20-18 advantage, only to have Southern Nazarene win four straight points on their way to a 25-23 win that pushed the contest to a fifth set. The Crimson Storm jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the fifth and closed out the match 15-10.

Juliana Squire had a career-high 22 kills and added 29 digs with three service aces.
Kayli Duncan contributed 10 kills and the junior from Wichita added a solo block and five block assists.
Sunny Batschelett led Southern Nazarene with 19 kills. Kaley Brubaker had 34 assists and Madeline Lynch was credited with 32 assists for the Crimson Storm.
Southern Nazarene's win was their fifth in a row and sent their record to 9-3. Drury fell to 1-9.
The Panthers open the Great Lakes Valley Conference schedule next week on the road when they face 23
rd ranked Lewis on Friday at 6 p.m. in Romeoville, Ill.
