SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – It was seven weeks since the Panthers last game and seven weeks since the biggest win in program history over the then #3 University of Iowa Hawkeyes. But the time off apparently didn't deter the momentum of that important weekend prior to break.

This past weekend the #15 Panthers began their Spring semester on the road at #1 Lindenwood University with a berth at the ACHA Central Region Tournament in their grasp.

While the Panthers struggled to stay out of the penalty box in Saturday night's game, sophomore goaltender Josh Robins held Drury in the game with a strong performance, stopping 43-of-48 shots, but despite two goals from freshman Ethan O'Rourke and another from sophomore Cody Lourenco, the Panthers came up short, 5-3 to the Lions.

Sunday, however, the Panthers remained disciplined, scoring first on a Jakob Holley power play goal with just two seconds remaining in the first period. Lindenwood would tie the game early in the second period, but sophomore goaltender Greyson Skirpan made sure that was the only tally the Lions would get, stopping 53-of-54 shots.

Lourenco added his second goal of the weekend, while sophomores Keegan Ferguson and Reily O'Connor each added a goal in the third to give the Panthers their newest, biggest win in program history.

The Panthers hit the road once again Feb. 2-3 for the final rankings-eligible games of the season as they head to Chesterfield, MO to take on the #11 Maryville University Saints. The weekend games will be broadcast on Maryville's YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/@MaryvilleSaintsDIIHockey
