FAYETTE, Iowa– After a scoreless first half, the 21
st ranked Drury Panthers put in four goals in the next 45 minutes on their way to a 4-0 win over Upper Iowa in Fayette, Iowa, on Friday night.
The Panthers improved to 9-1-2 and 7-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while the Peacocks fell to 2-4-3 and 2-3-2 in the GLVC.
Drury broke through in the 57
th minute on a goal by
Audrey Camargo, her first of the year. The Panthers scored 12 minutes later as
Ines Villanueva Casal notched her third goal of the year to put Drury ahead 2-0.
Elena Perez had assists on both of Drury's first two goals.
Kourtney Tucker stretched the Panthers' lead to three in the 87
th minute as she added her fourth goal and 10
th point of the season.
Reagan Hegarty earned the assist.
Drury capped the night with a goal by
Elsa Gonzalez with one second remaining in regulation. It was her first goal of the year.
Panthers goalkeeper
Katy Fitzler got the win with her eighth shutout of the season and her third straight clean sheet. Fitzler had one save as Drury outshot Upper Iowa 28-1 and the Panthers had 10 shots on goal.
Drury continues their road trip on Sunday when play Lewis for a noon kickoff in Romeoville, Ill.
