SPRINGFIELD, Ill.– The Drury men's cross country team was the Great Lakes Valley Conference Runner-Up and matched their best finish ever at the conference championship on Saturday in Springfield, Ill. The Panthers had two runners in the top 10, and four placed in the top 20 to earn all-conference honors.
Drury had 68 points to finish behind Lewis' total of 34. The Panthers had two more points than third-place Illinois Springfield, who was competing on their home course at the championship meet.

Tyler Harris was third overall in the field of 171 runners. The Springfield-Kickapoo product posted a time of 24:11.42 in the eight-kilometer race, a mark that is the fastest at Drury in 15 years and is the third-best time in program history.
Colby Garner, a senior from Springfield-Kickapoo, came in 10
th (24:41.09). Garner's time ranks fourth-best in program history.
Ethan Haynes was 12
th with a time of 24:45.00, now the fifth-best 8-k time ever at Drury, and
Topi Alahuhta was 20
th (24:52.58) and now ranks sixth on Drury's record book.
Santiago Nunez-Gonzalez was 27
th as he crossed the line in 25:03.47.
Harris, Garner, Haynes and Alahuhta were all named to the All-GLVC team.
Drury's second place finish matches their best placement at the league championship since 2010 when they came in second. The Panthers came in third place last season.
Evan Horgan from Lewis won the individual GLVC title with a time of 23:23.64.
