QUINCY, Ill. – Drury Volleyball fell in four sets to #20 Quincy behind a double-double from
Mailie Chretien.
The Panthers took the first set behind a strong start. Drury went on a 7-0 run in the middle of the set to push their lead to 22-10. The Panthers would end up winning 25-16. Quincy started the second set in a battle with Drury until they hit nine points. This gave the Hawks the momentum they needed to end the set on a 16-5 run. Drury and Quincy kept the third set tight all the way until Quincy pulled away at the end getting the win 25-20. The fourth and final set started with an early Panther lead when the Hawks brought it tight. Quincy took the lead at 9-8 and did not look back. They stole the fourth set 25-18.
Mailie Chretien led Drury with ten kills and 17 digs.
Lauren Tyler recorded 30 assists with eight kills.
Kayli Duncan totaled five blocks out of the eleven the Panthers had.
Grace Gardner was responsible for ten points, nine on kills.
Drury's next game is at Missouri Southern on October 29
th.
