DRURY DOZEN - the top 12 moments of '23-24 - No. 6: Both DU cross country teams post best-ever finishes at GLVC Championships

7/25/2024 5:05:00 PM

The Drury Dozen is an annual list of our favorite moments of the year from Drury Athletics. The list is not necessarily the most significant events but the special games and moments we'll always associate with 2023-24 as chosen by the Drury Athletics sports communications staff.

We'll provide honorable mention selections later in the countdown, but for now, here is our sixth most favorite moment from 2023-24:

#6 – Both DU cross country teams have program-best finishes at GLVC Championship

Oct. 21, 2023 – Bolivar Municipal Golf Course, Bolivar, Mo.

Both Drury cross country teams posted their best finishes in program history in the Great Lakes Valley Conference championships as the men's squad came in third, and the Drury women's team was the league runner-up.

On an unseasonably hot morning in Bolivar, the DU men had all five of the top runners place with all-conference honors, while women's team had two runners finish in the top five. For the women's squad, their second place finish matched their best placement in team history.
