Panthers answer 10th ranked McKendree's late goal to earn 1-1 tie on the road

LEBANON, Ill.– Drury and 10th ranked McKendree were deadlocked at 0-0 for nearly 88 minutes, then both teams scored and ended the night tied 1-1 on Friday night in Lebanon, Ill.

The Panthers moved their record to 3-1-3 and 1-1-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Bearcats went to 5-0-2 and 2-0-2 in the GLVC.

McKendree scored the first goal of the game with 2:01 remaining, but the Panthers answered 41 seconds later to earn the tie. Drury's Carson Morgan scored with an assist from Cayden Meyer to level the game at 1-1. It was the second goal of the year for Morgan, a junior from Springfield-Catholic.

Morgan's game-tying goal answered McKendree's goal from Matteo Schubert in the 88th minute. Schubert's goal was his second of the year as he put a ball in the left corner of the net, barely out of reach from goalkeeper Camden Meyer.
