SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury women's soccer picked up one point in Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play with a 0-0 draw against Lewis at the Lake Country Soccer Complex in Springfield.
The match started strong for the Flyers with four shots on net in the first 20 minutes of play, all saved by
Katy Fitzler. Drury had their best opportunity of the game with a penalty kick in the 32nd minute.
Elena Perez was the taker and was unable to convert.
Drury's offense picked up in the final 45 minutes, including three shots in the first 15 minutes of the second half. As the final minutes drew to a close, chaos ensued as both teams attempted to score, resulting in four total shots and two yellow cards in the final ten minutes.
