SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – On Sunday, Drury women's soccer defeated Upper Iowa 2-0 at Harrison Stadium to improve to 6-2-3 and 5-1-3 in GLVC play.
Upper Iowa started the first five minutes of the match strong, getting two shots off in the first two minutes, one on goal, saved by
Taylor Thompson. After Thompson's save, Drury shifted momentum and played the remainder of the match on the attack, taking ten shots in the first half, six of which were on goal.
In the second half,
Holland Hawkins broke the seal with the first goal of the afternoon from 20 yards out, receiving an assist from
Kadence Krempges in the 66th minute. Drury kept up the offensive pressure, and in the 84th minute, the Panthers were awarded a free kick following a Peacocks yellow card. Freshman
Grace Pohl took the kick from 35 yards out, aiming for a teammate, the ball slipped past every Drury and Upper Iowa player to find the net for the second and final goal.

- Before kickoff, Drury honored five seniors: Keva Culkin, Taylor Thompson, Elena Perez, Holland Hawkins, and Leah McDonald.
- Taylor Thompson got her first start in net for Drury, playing 22 minutes and recording one save.
- Keva Culkin came in relief of Thompson for the final 23 minutes of the first half.
- Katy Fitzler played the final half in goal for Drury, recording the win.
- It is the first time in program history that Drury has played three keepers in the same match.
- The win improves Drury's unbeaten streak to four matches.
- The Panthers improve to 4-0-0 in games they score at least two goals, 5-0-1 in games they score first.
- Drury took 19 shots, 12 of them on net. 12 shots on goal is the most in a single game this season.
- Upper Iowa only recorded one shot on goal the entire game, none in the final 88 minutes.
- Drury had 10 corner kicks in the match.
- Holland Hawkins' goal was her third of the season. Drury is now 8-2 in games where Hawkins scores at least one goal.
- Kadence Krempges assisted on the Hawkins goal, her first of her college career.
- Grace Pohl scored her first career goal.
- Three Panthers played the entire game: Haley Inscoe, Anna Harris, and Brooke Teter.
- Drury's all-time record against Upper Iowa now improves to 4-0.
- With the win, Drury now sits in third place in the GLVC with 18 points.
