CASEYVILLE, Ill. – The Drury women's golf team finished its fall season with a 6th place finish at the Bearcat Dual Gender Invitational hosted by McKendree at the Fair Oaks Golf Club.
Chloe Wills (+21) led Drury with a tenth-place finish, followed by
Grace Gilbert (+24), who finished 18th.
Throughout the three-round tournament, Drury shot +37 in the first round, then +29 and +39 in the final round.
Lewis paced the field with a +58 and a first-place finish. Maryville's Fernanda Diaz-Pizarro and Lewis' Kendall Farm tied for first place, both shooting seven over par.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Avery Chappell tied her best round of the season with an 84 in the first and third rounds.
- Chloe Wills had the highest finish of her college career, T10th.
- Grace Gilber finished tied for 18, the best of her career.
- As a team, Drury recorded 18 birdies and 125 pars, both the fifth most in the field.
- Wills recorded six birdies.
