INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Drury men's soccer fell 1-0 to Indianapolis in its second Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) matchup of the weekend.
Drury started the game strong against Indianapolis.
Joe Loughnane had the first shot of the game in the third minute, followed by
Lui Bull forcing a save from the Greyhounds' goalkeeper in the fourth minute. The Panthers continued to pressure the Greyhounds' defense with another shot from
Mattheo Ledoux in the eighth minute and Sam Tagg in the 12
th minute. Indianapolis grew into the game with shots of its own, none of which tested goalkeeper
Camden Meyer. The teams went into the break tied 0-0.
The Panthers opened the second half with a shot from Sam Tagg in the 46
th minute. Indianapolis responded with three shots in the 49
th, 50
th, and 51
st minutes, all of which were defended by Drury. The Greyhounds continued to put pressure on the Panthers and eventually found a goal in the 72
nd minute to take a 1-0 lead. Drury responded with a shot from
Mattheo Ledoux in the 85
th minute that Indianapolis's goalkeeper saved.
