INDIANAPOLIS – Drury women's soccer ended their longest road trip with a 3-0 win over Indianapolis on Sunday, improving to 5-2-2 overall and 4-1-1 in GLVC play.
The scoring opened in the second minute when
Keira Love made a run up the left side of the field and found
Leah McDonald on the cross to net the first goal of the match. The remainder of the first half was controlled by Drury, but they were unable to score a second goal.
The final 45 minutes started slowly for both teams. Despite the slow start, Drury got into a fast break in the 73rd minute, again started by Love. Love would find a streaking
Elli Davison, who would put it over the top of the keeper, for the second goal of the game. Seven minutes after the Davison goal, a yellow card would be called on the Greyhounds keeper in the box to give the Panthers a penalty kick.
Elena Perez would take the PK and use the bottom right corner for the third and final goal of the match.
