LAS VEGAS – Drury men's golf shot the third-lowest team round in program history (281) on Monday in the second round of the National Preview in Las Vegas hosted by UMSL at Boulder Creek Golf Course.
 
The Panthers (+3) finished the first day in 12th place out of 17 teams. The field consists of 11 teams that finished the 2025 spring season in the top 52 and three teams that qualified for the national championships.
 
Zach Carter led Drury through the first two rounds, shooting two under, finishing the day tied for 28. Gaige Lewis was one stroke behind Carter, ending the day tied for 36.
 
Chico State (-29) is 11 strokes in front of second-place Midwestern State. Lynn (-17) rounds out the top three. Ben Mouser (Chico State) shot -10 to close day one in first place. Seth Bearden (Midwestern State) is -9, followed by Joao Costa (Georgia Southwestern) and Naoki Easterday (Chico State) at -8.
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• The 281 (-7) second round is the third-best round in program history, and the best round Drury has had since Sept. 3, 2024, in the Arch Cup (277).
• The Panthers recorded three eagles in the first two rounds and 108 pars.
• Gaige Lewis recorded two of the three Drury eagles.
• Meyer Lively had 25 pars through 36 holes, tied for the 8th most in the field.
• In the second round, Lewis shot a season-best 69.
• Alex Wiseman and Lively tied his season-best round in the second round with a 71.
