EDMOND, Okla. – Drury women's golf finished the Grace Shin Invite hosted by Central Oklahoma on Tuesday afternoon in tenth place.
The Panthers jumped up two spots from where they finished day one. Drury shot +18 in the last round, a 13-stroke improvement from yesterday's lone round. Drury finished the tournament +49.
Jade Carter (+3) made a 28-spot jump from the first to the second round to finish tied for ninth.
Chloe Wills (+6) finished tied for 22nd.
Central Missouri won the event with a +12, followed by Arkansas Tech (+15) and Central Oklahoma (+18). Central Missouri's Mia Rallo shot six-under to win the event.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Jade Carter's 29-spot jump was the second-largest jump of any player that finished in the top ten, only trailing Jaylee Castro (Arkansas Tech), who jumped 51 spots.
- Drury shot a 302 in the second round of the tournament. It was the best round the Panthers have put together this season.
- Chloe Wills averaged 4.88 strokes on par 5s, eighth best in the field.
- Carter shot a 69 in the second round. It is the lowest round in her college career.
- Wills shot a 74 in both rounds of this tournament, which is the lowest round of her career.
- Avery Chappell improved her season-best round of 85 to an 84 in the second round.
