Springfield, MO – The Drury University men's lacrosse team kicked off their season in dominant fashion with a successful road trip to Dallas, Texas, securing back-to-back victories against East Texas Baptist University and the University of North Texas.

The Panthers opened their 2025 campaign on Friday, February 14, with an impressive 15-9 win over East Texas Baptist University. Drury showcased a high-powered offense and a tenacious defense to claim their first victory of the season. Nathan Reichardt led the Panthers scoring with 9 points (5 g, 4 a). Avian West added 6 points (3 g, 3 a) while Lone Star Alliance 2024 Rookie of the Year Brendan Moehle added 2 goals and 3 assists. Isaac Santiago added 3 goals and 2 assists, Cooper Treptow had 1 goal and 2 assists, and LSM Colin Mizia chipped in with 1 goal and 1 assist.

The team continued their winning ways on Sunday, February 16, edging out the University of North Texas in a hard-fought 12-10 battle. Brendan Moehle led the scoring effort with 7 points (5g, 2a), while Cooper Treptow added 6 points (3g, 3a). Avian West had 1 goal and 2 assists, Nathan Reichardt posted 1 goal and 1 assist, Isaac Santiago added 1 goal, and Colin Mizia scored 1 goal to help secure the victory.

"These were two great team wins to start the season," said Head Coach Rich. "We changed a lot this off-season, and our guys executed well on both ends of the field. This trip was a great test for us, and I'm proud of how we responded. They played with a lot of grit and I couldn't be more pleased with how we played."

Drury University men's lacrosse will look to carry this momentum forward as they prepare for their home opener on Sunday February 23^rd against Saint Louis University.
