Men's Lacrosse Dominates SLU In Home Opener - Improves to 3-0

SPRINGFIELD, MO — The Drury University men's lacrosse team celebrated a historic home opener on Sunday, February 25, with a decisive 19-7 victory over Saint Louis University. With the win, the Panthers improve to 3-0 on the season, marking the best start in program history.

The game was tied 3-3 at the end of the first quarter, but Drury quickly took control in the second, outscoring Saint Louis 6-2 to take a 9-5 lead into halftime. By the end of the third quarter, the Panthers had built a commanding 15-6 advantage before sealing the 19-7 win.

Leading the charge offensively for Drury was Nathan Reichardt, who posted a remarkable 5 goals and 4 assists. Brendan Moehle contributed an outstanding performance, going 8-1 at the face-off X and adding 4 goals and 2 assists. Isaac Santiago also played a pivotal role with 2 goals and 2 assists, while LSM Colin Mizia added 3 assists and a goal, along with leading the team with 5 caused turnovers.

Other key contributors included Avian West, who scored 4 goals, and Cooper Treptow, who netted 3 goals. Defensively, both Giuseppe Cisek and Isaac Santiago recorded 9 groundballs, and goalkeeper Aiden Haugen made 9 saves, allowing 7 goals for a 56.5% save percentage.

"We're thrilled with the team's performance today," said head coach Dustin Rich. "It was a solid effort all around, from the offense to the defense and in goal. We've been working hard to build something special, and this victory is a great testament to the players' commitment and effort. We're excited for what lies ahead this season."
