Drury ties for 7th at Midwest Intercollegiate

WARRENSBURG, Mo.— Drury moved up one spot and improved their team score by seven strokes to finish tied for seventh among 13 teams at the Midwest Intercollegiate tournament, host by Central Missouri at the 5,564 yard Mules National Golf Course in Warrensburg, Missouri, on Tuesday.
 
The Panthers finished 117-over par and were 10 shots better than ninth-place William Jewell. Host Central Missouri, ranked 19th nationally, won the tournament at 78-over par and finished three shots better than second-place Dodge City Community College. Nebraska Kearney came in third (+83).
 
Isabelle Thrall led Drury and jumped seven spots to finish 17th. The senior from Wentzville, Missouri, shot an 11-over par 81 on Tuesday to end the tournament at +25. Jade Carter was 30th at 29-over par, and Grace Stafford came in 33rd at +30. Taryn Overstreet fell to 56th with a 21-over par score on Tuesday and finished at +37. Elizabeth Adkission was 44-over par for the tournament to come in 69th. Playing as an independent, Hope Tuttle was 22nd, shooting +27.
 
Ines Vandaele from Missouri Western won the tournament, shooting a +12 and won the event by one stroke over Ellen Wilson from Dodge City Community College.
 
The Panthers compete again March 24-26 at the Ozarks National Invitational, hosted by Missouri State, at the Ozarks National Course in Hollister, Mo.
