SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — For the first time in program history, the Drury University Men's Lacrosse team is heading to the postseason.

In just its third year of existence, the program has shown remarkable growth, finishing the 2025 regular season with a record of 5-4—marking both the team's highest win total and its first-ever season above .500. After going 1-8 in its inaugural year and 4-9 last season, this year's breakthrough has solidified Drury's place as an emerging force in the Lone Star Alliance.

The Panthers earned the wild card berth in the LSA Conference Playoffs and will face Missouri State, the No. 2 seed from the LSA North Sub-Division, in the opening round. The two teams faced off to end the regular season, with Drury falling just short in a competitive 9-7 battle—setting the stage for a highly anticipated postseason rematch.

Leading the way offensively for Drury this season have been Nathan Reichardt and Brendan Moehle, both surpassing the 40-point mark and providing a dynamic one-two punch on attack. On the defensive end, Colin Mizia has been a standout, causing 26 turnovers and scooping up 57 ground balls—second-most on the team.

Head Coach Rich expressed his pride in the team's progress and determination, "I'm really proud of the guys. They've grown a lot this year, and we've gotten a lot better and more disciplined as a unit. Our goal has always been championships, and this is a step in the right direction. This year has been proof that we're getting there."

The LSA Conference Playoffs will be held at the Z Plex in Melissa, Texas, where Drury will look to continue its historic run and prove that the best is yet to come.
