INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced its 2025 men's soccer preseason coaches' poll on Tuesday, Aug. 26, with Drury slated to finish sixth in the league.

The Panthers earned 116 points to earn a top-half ranking. Drury sits behind 2024 GLVC regular season and tournament champion Lewis, who topped the poll with 186 points and seven first-place votes. McKendree (184 points, six first-place votes), Maryville (168 points, one first-place vote), Indianapolis (167 points, one first-place vote), and Missouri St.-Louis (123 points) round out the rest of the top five teams.

Last season, Drury managed a 6-5-3 record in GLVC play. The Panthers notably beat Missouri St.-Louis at home 1-0 and earned ties against McKendree (1-1) and Indianapolis (2-2) on the road.

Head coach Ben Taylor returns for his ninth season in charge after guiding the Panthers to an 8-6-4 record and reaching the GLVC Quarterfinals for the fourth-straight season.

The Panthers open the 2025 campaign Thursday, Sept. 4, at 8:15 p.m., hosting Northeastern State at Harrison Stadium.
