ROLLA, Mo. – Drury men's soccer falls to Missouri S&T 3-2 Friday on the road in its second Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) matchup.
The first half was full of end-to-end action. Missouri S&T had an early shot and a corner kick opportunity in the opening minutes. The Miners used a long-throw tactic that pinned the Panthers back in their defensive half.
Mason Platts stole the ball off a long throw, ran all the way across the field, and slotted the ball in the bottom corner to put the Panthers up 1-0 in the 12
th minute. Missouri S&T responded with two shots in the 18
th and 19
th minutes. The Miners continued to put pressure on Drury's defense and scored in the 30
th minute to tie the game.
Steen Voller had a chance late in the half, but a save from Missouri S&T's goalkeeper kept the game level going into the break.
The game heated up in the second half. Sam Tagg had the first shot in the half, forcing a save from the Miners' keeper in the 52
nd minute.

th minute. Both teams continued to attack for another goal. The Miners scored off a corner kick in the 83
rd minute to make the game level again. In the 88
th minute, Missouri S&T found the winner, scoring off another corner.
