Lincoln Downs Drury 4-2

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury men's soccer suffered a 4-2 defeat against Lincoln on Sunday's Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) matchup.

The Panthers started slow in the first half. Cayden Meyer opened the game with the first shot in the second minute. In the final minutes of the first half, a Lincoln player was taken down in the box, resulting in a penalty kick. Kevon Maitland stepped up to score the penalty, and the Panthers found themselves 2-0 down heading into halftime.

Drury found hope in the second half. A corner kick in the 49th minute resulted in Dane Prost being fouled in the box, and Joe Loughnane converted the penalty to cut the deficit to 2-1. Lincoln responded with chances of its own, but it was Carson Morgan who found the next goal with a header from a Loughnane free kick in the 60th minute to tie the game 2-2.
